If you are considering buying an SEO course, you want to know if it works, right? Well, who better to tell you than students who’ve taken the course? I interviewed 4 SEO Jumpstart students about how they got on with the course and what results they achieved…
When you are considering buying a course of any kind, what you really want to know is ‘Will it work for me?’ This is a question I am often asked about my SEO course, SEO Jumpstart. SEO Jumpstart is a search optimization course for bloggers who want to grow their blog traffic in a long-term sustainable way, earn passive income from high paying ads and be free from the social media hamster wheel. That’s a bold claim, so naturally you want to know if it really works… and specifically if it would work for you.
Whilst I would love to promise you a specific level of traffic and income as a result of taking SEO Jumpstart, that is unfortunately not possible – there are too many variables at play! But what I can do is share with you how previous students have found the course and the results they have achieved. So, I’ve gathered together 4 SEO Jumpstart Case Studies to give you a flavour of what the course is like and what is possible…
Have you achieved success with SEO Jumpstart? I’d love to showcase your blog in a future SEO Jumpstart Success Stories post! Head here to find out how to get featured.

SEO Jumpstart Success Story #11: Matt Eisenhauer
1) Why did you enrol in SEO Jumpstart?
In his book The Code of the Extraordinary Mind, Vishen Lakhiani introduced me to the concept of “investing in learning”. He makes the point that too many of us are so busy doing that we never step back and think about how we’re doing. I had fallen into what he calls the do-do trap, pun intended.
After my aha moment, I joined blogging groups on Facebook to start learning from others. Reading a thread in one of these groups, SEO Jumpstart was highly recommended by other food bloggers.
Now I know why.
I think Tom Bilyeu puts it best. “Once you know how something works, then you can get good at it.” Looking back, I didn’t know how blogging works.
Now I do, all thanks to Eb.
2) What did you like about the course?
Having the level of expertise and know-how is one thing. Actually being able to teach what you know so others can understand and apply it is something else.
That’s what made Eb’s course so incredibly valuable. She knows how to teach what she knows!
Eb taught me the basics and fundamentals in easy, clear language that I could understand without having any technical background whatsoever. She takes the complex and breaks it into simple, easy-to-digest bites.
SEO Jumpstart gave me instant access to the knowledge I needed to finally succeed as a blogger.
Hands down, taking this course was the best investment I’ve made in my blog ever.
I’ve purchased other online courses for $500 and $1000 that I never finished – I’ve gone through Eb’s course twice!
3) Which was your favourite module and why?
Module 4 – If I had only known how important keyword research is five years ago! No wonder I wasn’t getting any traffic. This module was a huge learning for me. Module 8 and 9 as well– I had no idea how important site speed and backlinks are. Finally, I understand what was holding me back and what specific action steps to take.
4) How did you fit the course into your life?
“SEO” is written on my calendar every day during the workweek. I’m going through the course a second time because the material is worth learning really well. I do 5 – 10 minutes a day. Consistency is key- if it’s on my calendar it gets done. I write down specifically what the day’s homework is, for example: Unit 2C – Using Yoast SEO Analysis. If it’s short, I can always do extra credit!
5) What results did you see from the course in terms of your blog traffic and blogging income?
In 2018, before starting SEO Jumpstart, I celebrated my first 10,000 views. Just recently, after completing the course, I celebrated my first 100,000 views. 10x, not bad! And I know this is just the beginning. This year, I’m monetizing my blog with affiliate links and I’m going to 10x my traffic again (because now I know how).
6) What other benefits did you get from the course?
Joining the Productive blogging Facebook group. In the group, I got advice on which web hosting service to switch to. I also found someone to help me change WordPress themes. These two changes helped me finally increase my domain authority. And the food blogger who helped me ended up becoming a good mentor and friend.

SEO Jumpstart Success Story #13: Rebecca Smith
1) Why did you enrol in SEO Jumpstart?
I’ve known Eb for years now and marvelled at her organisation skills and how she turned her blog into her career. When Eb announced she was starting up her new blog Productive Blogging I fell over myself with excitement that she was going to be sharing her tips with the rest of the blogging world. I signed up for SEO Jumpstart in the very first wave and knew this was going to be the start of something BIG!
2) What did you like about the course?
I have a mind that flits wildly from one task to another, it needs to be kept of a very short leash. The SEO Jumpstart Course is my perfect guide through the labyrinth that is SEO. The modules and units are perfectly organised to take you step-by-step through the process of either improving upon your SEO or starting out in the world of blogging and nailing it first time.
3) Which was your favourite module and why?
I think my favourite module was the categories and tags module that gave me the confidence and know how to give my blog a HUGE overhaul when it came to my menu. I am thrilled about how user friendly my website is now and have had feedback to from readers to back this up.
4) How did you fit the course into your life?
My life is rather hectic and no two days are the same here so I needed a course that was flexible and easy to put down and come back to if necessary. I set aside a week initially and then the odd day after that and am now setting side an evening a week to go back over things. If I wandered from the path I still had Eb’s newsletters to keep me motivated thus gently leading me back to the course when the next module awaited.
5) What results did you see from the course in terms of your blog traffic and blogging income?
My traffic has doubled as a result of the SEO Jumpstart course and I’m on my way to applying for Mediavine.
6) What other benefits did you get from the course?
The biggest benefit to date as a result of doing the SEO Jumpstart course is that I’ve fallen in love with my blog again. It had become an unknown entity to me, mocking me and making me feel inadequate. Now I’m back in the driving seat and loving the ride.

SEO Jumpstart Success Story #14: Amanda Wren-Grimwood
1) Why did you enroll in SEO Jumpstart?
I had been blogging for 5 years, picking up information from Facebook groups, but I feel that I managed to grow very slowly, more by luck than judgement. I decided that I wanted to take blogging seriously so I was looking for a course that would give me a grounding in everything from scratch. I did a free keyword research course from Productive Blogging and loved how easy it was to follow. This made me decide to enrol on the full course.
2) What did you like about the course?
What I loved about the course was that it was easy to break it down into chunks so I could start with the topics I was intrigued by first. This also made it easy to revisit these areas when I needed to.
3) Which was your favourite module and why?
After years of bad habits, I knew that I needed to go back and learn how a blog should be set up. The Site Structure module really helped me to understand the internal linking, cornerstone content and housekeeping issues, such as orphaned content, that had never been addressed.
4) How did you fit the course into your life?
At the time of doing the course the pandemic was in full swing, so I took a week off work and did most of the course in one go. However, I found it was easy to break it down to do topics or part topics in the evening or weekends too.
5) What results did you see from the course in terms of your blog traffic and blogging income?
Within 6 months of starting the course my sessions had increased by 45% from July to December.
6) What other benefits did you get from the course?
This course gave me the confidence to start another blog from scratch as I could get everything right at the start with the correct settings and plugins. I also loved the fact that I could let go of the stress of scheduling so many posts on social media, which was a complete drain of time, with limited results.

**Disclaimer** Whilst I would love to guarantee you stratospheric levels of traffic as a result of doing SEO Jumpstart, that is unfortunately not under my control. I have personally seen amazing growth as a result of doing all the things I outline in the course, as have many other bloggers who have followed my SEO advice. However, with the best will in the world, I cannot and do not promise you any specific increase in traffic or income as a result of doing SEO Jumpstart.
I’ve been blogging since 2010, but I know there’s always room for improvement and for learning something new, most of all in the SEO industry.
Your SEO Jumpstart course looks useful, Eb. The Module 9 – Backlinks seems really interesting.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Erik – that’s good to hear!
