  1. hi
I followed your steps and it did not work. My pop up is still now showing on my web. I actually had to email convertkit

    1. Hi Hanna, I am a little confused what you mean when you say it didn’t work… do you mean people didn’t subscribe? Or that the technology didn’t work. If you can give me a little more detail I will try to help! Eb 🙂

  2. Eb, how do you stop your incentive email with the download link going into the spam folder of the recipient please?

I’ve tried quite a few different ones such as yahoo, gmail, private company and they all end up in the spam folder. Is there a trick to get around this?
    Thanks

    1. Hi Rachel! There are a number of things you can do to improve deliverability. The first is to make sure that when people first subscribe, you send them to a thank you page that explicitly tells them to check their spam folder and to whitelist your email address. The second is to clean your list – the more people you have on your list who don’t open your emails, the more likely your email is to land in spam FOR EVERYONE. I recommend you run a reactivation campaign to all your cold subscribers and remove anyone who does not respond >>> https://www.productiveblogging.com/how-to-reactivate-cold-subscribers/ The third is to work on improving open and click through rates (which will have a positive effect on your deliverability as email clients like Gmail will see that your emails are perceived as valuable by your recipients) >>> https://www.productiveblogging.com/improve-email-open-and-click-rates/ And finally, ask questions in your emails and encourage replies. This again shows to email clients that you are a ‘good sender’. There will always be a some that land in spam, but by working on these areas you will gradually reduce the number. Hope that helps – and do let me know how you get on! Eb 🙂

  3. My opt in…..🐾 SOCIALIZE BOTH ENDS OF THE LEASH
The 5-Step Dog + Human Connection Challenge

Making it up today……yup…..I also have a second 5 Doggone Healthy Kickstart Challenge (this has very simple basic things to do…..) I am not giving away my big programs just leading others to take the very basic steps to get better results! And once I finish putting the first of the two listed and put together a landing page I can test these out to see which is better received and gets more people “seeing” me!

    1. I love that you’re experimenting with different ideas, Pam! Both of these sound like great ways to give people a simple starting point while still leading them towards your bigger programmes. Testing them to see which one resonates most with your audience sounds like a really sensible approach. Good luck with getting your first landing page up and running!
